Welcome to First Baptist Church
First Baptist Church of Racine is an American Baptist congregation.
We accept Jesus Christ the divine Son of God, as our Lord and Savior and believe in spreading the Good News of his atoning death and resurrection. We believe in the Trinity: God the Creator; Jesus Christ, the Son; and the Holy Spirit. We believe that the Bible is the divinely inspired Word of God, and we believe it should be interpreted responsibly, by every person, under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. The scriptures, including the Old and New Testaments, are our final authority. We accept no human confession or creed as binding. We are a free church, and as such, recognize the autonomy of our individual congregations. We recognize that we all sin, and we all stand in need of God's constant forgiveness and mercy. We whole-heartedly embrace the concept of God's unconditional love for all of humanity, and all are welcome to worship with us and share in the Lord's Supper.
First Baptist Church of Racine has a strong heart for missions and we participate in many national mission-giving programs, as well as helping to sponsor two full-time missionaries from our own congregation. We hosted the Monday Night Hot Meal Program in Racine at our previous location for fourteen years. Now, in association with Gethsemane Lutheran Church, St. Mesrob's Armenian Orthodox Church, and St. Mary's by the Lake Catholic Church, we currently run the new Monday Night Hot Meal Program at the Hospitality Center at St. Luke's Episcopal Church downtown. We also have a monthly food drive to benefit the Racine County Food Bank.
Along with our sister church, Iglesia Bautista Renacer, we are actively seeking anyone who earnestly desires to experience the love of God in a multi-generational and multi-cultural way. We have a very small, but alive, youth program and are seeking children and youth who would like to be a part of that. We are also actively seeking adults of all ages for participation in our Tuesday Morning Bible Study and of course, our Sunday morning worship. Membership in our church is not required to participate in our programs.
Sunday services are held at 10:30 AM, with Sunday School and choir rehearsal at 9:00AM. We have hospitality time from 10:00AM until worship begins. We hope that you will come join us for fellowship and worship anytime! If you'd like to ask any questions or just talk with our pastor, please feel free to call the church at 554-7735.
We look forward to getting to know you!
